A Foreclosure
SDCL § 21-52-11 — one year from the sale to redeem, or one hundred eighty days on a short term redemption mortgage
One year to redeem. Everyone entitled to redeem has one year from the date of a foreclosure sale to do so.
The exception is a one hundred eighty day redemption mortgage, which sets the shorter period.
The mortgage itself shows which kind it is. A particular foreclosure is a question for a licensed South Dakota attorney.
