Housing Discrimination
SDCL § 20-13-20 — race, color, creed, religion, sex, ancestry, disability, familial status or national origin, and a charge within one hundred eighty days
An owner or anyone acting for one may not refuse to sell or rent, or set different terms, because of the race, color, creed, religion, sex, ancestry, disability, familial status or national origin of anyone who would live there, or advertise that such a person is unwelcome.
One hundred eighty days. A charge is filed within one hundred and eighty days after the practice occurred.
