The last 100 feet. An operator intending to turn right or left signals continuously for not less than the last 100 feet of movement before the turn.

What the signals are not for. An operator may not light the signals on only one side of a parked or disabled vehicle, or use them as a courtesy or do pass signal to a driver approaching from behind.

Hand and arm signals, and the equipment a vehicle must carry for them, are set out in neighboring sections that are not all on this page. What a particular stop or ticket means is a question for a licensed Texas attorney.
