23 V.S.A. § 1051 — a driver yields to a pedestrian in a crosswalk where signals are not working
- Where traffic signals are not in operation, a driver yields, slowing or stopping if needed, to a pedestrian crossing in a crosswalk.
- No pedestrian may suddenly leave a curb into the path of a vehicle too close to yield.
- When a vehicle has stopped at a crosswalk for a pedestrian, a driver behind may not pass it.
