DUI Penalties
23 V.S.A. § 1210 — up to two years and $750 for a first offense, with mandatory hours on a second within 20 years
No one may operate, attempt to operate, or be in actual physical control of a vehicle on a highway with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more, 0.04 or more in a commercial vehicle, or 0.02 or more driving a school bus, or while under the influence of alcohol or another drug.

Before sentencing, the court may order an alcohol assessment screening, considered like a presentence report.
