Getting Married
W. Va. Code § 48-2-301 — eighteen to marry, or sixteen with consent and a partner no more than four years older
The age of consent to marry is 18 years of age for everyone.
Sixteen or seventeen. The county clerk may issue a license to an applicant under 18 but at least 16 years of age with written consent from the applicant and a parent or guardian, but not if the other person is more than four years older.
A particular marriage is a question for a licensed West Virginia attorney.
