Horses and Buggies on the Road
Wis. Stat. 347.245 — the slow moving emblem, or a flashing amber light at the left rear
Every person riding an animal or driving an animal drawn vehicle on a roadway has all the rights and duties the traffic chapter gives the operator of a vehicle, except those that by their very nature cannot apply.
Who handles this in Wisconsin: State Bar of Wisconsin Lawyer Referral Service; and legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Wisconsin directory.
The triangle, or a flashing light. An animal drawn vehicle on a highway displays the slow moving vehicle emblem on the most visible part of its rear. The section does not apply to a vehicle with a yellow or amber flashing light at least 4 inches in diameter attached at the left rear.
Whether the impaired driving law reaches a rider is not settled by these sections. A particular ticket is a question for a licensed Wisconsin attorney.
