Money The State Is Holding
Wis. Stat. 177.0903 — a verified claim, or payment without one for an apparent owner
In Wisconsin, a person claiming to be the owner of property the administrator holds may file a claim on the administrator's form and verifies it as to completeness and accuracy.
Sometimes no claim is needed. The administrator may waive the claim and pay or deliver directly to a person shown as the apparent owner on a holder's report, if the administrator reasonably believes the person is entitled.
Locator services. A claim submitted by a locator service under an agreement must include a copy of the agreement, or it is denied.
