Seat Belts
Wis. Stat. 347.48 — the driver and every passenger 8 or older, front and back
Everyone 8 and older. The driver of a vehicle required to have belts is properly restrained, and so is every passenger at least 8 years old in a front or rear seating position that is required to have a belt. The driver answers for the passengers, and each passenger for themselves.

Taxicabs are outside the belt requirement, and the department exempts people who cannot be restrained because of a physical or medical condition.
