Protecting Someone Else
W.S. 6-2-602 — the same reasonable force to protect another person
Deadly force is reasonable if it is necessary to prevent imminent death or serious bodily injury to another person, not only to the one using it. The presumption of reasonable fear in a home covers a fear for the person or for another.
Who handles this in Wyoming: Wyoming State Bar, attorney referrals; and legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Wyoming directory.
Knowingly pointing a firearm at someone is reckless endangering, unless it is reasonably necessary in defense of the person, property or home, to prevent serious bodily injury to another, or as the self defense section allows.
