The Insurance Suspension
A.R.S. 28-4135 — a civil penalty of five hundred dollars and three months, rising for repeats within thirty-six months
Evidence in the vehicle. A person operating a motor vehicle on a highway has evidence of current financial responsibility within the vehicle, which may be displayed on a wireless communication device. Displaying it on a device is not consent for law enforcement to access other contents of the device.
Dismissal with proof. A citation for not having or not producing the evidence is dismissed if the person produces evidence to the court by the date and time on the citation, including by mail, that coverage met the requirements when the citation was issued, or that a policy insured the person and the vehicle being driven.
