Earned Sick Time
C.R.S. 8-13.3-403 — one hour for every thirty worked, up to forty-eight hours a year
Each Colorado employee earns at least one hour of paid sick leave for every thirty hours worked, up to forty-eight hours a year unless the employer sets a higher limit.
Who handles this in Colorado: legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Colorado directory.
Up to forty-eight hours earned but not used in a year carries forward and may be used in a later year, though an employer need not allow more than forty-eight hours of use in one year.
