Identification to Vote
15 Del. C. § 4937 — proof of identity at the polls, or a signed affidavit without it, and polls open until 8:00 p.m.
Without identification. A voter gives their name and address and shows proof of identity. A voter without it signs an affidavit affirming they are the person on the election district record, and votes.
- The polls stay open until 8:00 p.m., and anyone in line at 8:00 p.m. may vote.
- No one may electioneer within the polling place or within 50 feet of the building entrance, including buttons and literature about candidates or issues.
A particular problem at the polls is a question for the Department of Elections.
