Door To Door Sales
Fla. Stat. 501.025 — until midnight of the third business day
In Florida, a home solicitation sale is a sale, lease or rental of consumer goods or services over $25, where the seller personally solicits it and the buyer agrees somewhere other than the seller's fixed place of business, including an unsolicited sale made by telephone without other contact before delivery.
The buyer may cancel until midnight of the third business day. In addition to any other right to revoke, the buyer may cancel until midnight of the third business day after signing. A business day is any calendar day except Sunday or a federal holiday. Written notice of cancellation, in person, by telegram or by mail to the address in the agreement, is enough in any form that shows the buyer does not intend to be bound, and a mailed notice is effective when postmarked.
The seller gets the buyer's signature on a written agreement that is dated the day the buyer actually signs and states the buyer's rights.
Sales at a fair or similar exhibit, sales the buyer specifically requested, and certain sales by licensed motor vehicle dealers are not home solicitation sales.
