Identity Theft
Iowa Code § 715A.8 — an aggravated misdemeanor up to $1,500, and a felony above it
Identity theft is fraudulently using, or trying to use, another person's identification information to obtain credit, property, services or another benefit. Identification information includes a name, address, birth date, driver's license and social security numbers, signatures, account and card numbers, and more.
