Breaks at Work
KRS 337.365 — ten minutes paid for every four hours, and a lunch between the third and fifth hour
- No employee is required to work without a rest period of at least ten minutes in each four hours worked, in addition to lunch, with no cut in pay.
- Employers grant a reasonable lunch period as near the middle of the shift as possible, not sooner than three hours nor later than five hours after the shift starts.
- A collective bargaining or mutual agreement can provide otherwise.
