What a Tenant Has to Do
KRS 383.605 — keep the unit clean and safe, use it reasonably, and do not disturb the neighbors
- The tenant complies with the building and housing code duties that fall on tenants and materially affect health and safety.
- The tenant keeps the part of the premises they use as clean and safe as its condition permits, and plumbing fixtures as clean as their condition permits.
- Ashes, garbage, rubbish and other waste go out of the unit in a clean and safe manner.
- Electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and other facilities and appliances are used reasonably.
- The tenant does not deliberately or negligently damage or remove any part of the premises, or knowingly let anyone else do so.
- The tenant and guests conduct themselves so as not to disturb the neighbors' peaceful enjoyment.
