The Registration Calendar
Md. Code, Crim. Proc. § 11-705 — notice within 3 days of any change, and 21 days before leaving the United States
Within 3 days. Within 3 days of any change in residence, the county where the registrant habitually lives, vehicle or license plate information, email or internet identifiers, home or cell phone numbers, or employment, the registrant notifies the local law enforcement unit where most recently registered and each unit where the registrant will reside or habitually live.
Other notices. A legal name change is reported in writing within 3 days after it is granted, and a registrant notifies each local unit at least 21 days before leaving the United States to live or work abroad.
Who must register, for how long, and the penalty for failing to report are set out in other parts of the law that are not on this page. Whether a deadline applies to a particular person is a question for a licensed Maryland attorney.
