Minimum Wage

G.L. c. 151, § 1 — less than $15.00 an hour is presumed oppressive and unreasonable

$15.00 an hour. In Massachusetts, a wage of less than $15.00 per hour in any occupation is conclusively presumed to be oppressive and unreasonable, unless the commissioner has approved a lesser wage under the chapter, and a contract for such a wage is void.

In no case is the minimum wage less than $.50 higher than the federal minimum.
