Minn. Stat. 260E.20 — face-to-face contact immediately, or within five calendar days

Face to face. The local welfare agency has face-to-face contact with the child and primary caregiver immediately after screening in a report alleging sexual abuse or substantial child endangerment, and within five calendar days for all other screened in reports.

Email

The allegations. At the initial contact with the alleged offender, the agency informs that person of the complaints or allegations made against them, in a manner consistent with the laws protecting the rights of the person who made the report.

Removal of a child, emergency custody, and the court hearings that follow are set out in other parts of the law that are not on this page. What a particular investigation means for a family is a question for a licensed Minnesota attorney.
