The Teen License and Its Curfew
Mo. Rev. Stat. § 302.178 — the intermediate license, 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., and one young passenger
An intermediate license holder may not drive between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. unless accompanied by a qualified adult driver, except to or from school or an educational activity, a regular job, or an emergency.
Who handles this in Missouri: legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Missouri directory.
The driver and every passenger must wear a seat belt at all times. For the first six months, the driver may carry no more than one passenger under the age of nineteen who is not immediate family, as the section sets out.
The instruction permit, the conditions for the license and the penalties for breaking these limits are in this and other sections not set out here. A particular ticket is a question for a licensed Missouri attorney.
