Getting Paid When A Job Ends

Mo. Rev. Stat. § 290.110 — due the day of discharge, with wages continuing up to sixty days

Due the day of discharge. When a Missouri employer discharges an employee, with or without cause, the unpaid wages earned are due on the day of the discharge, without deduction.

Email

The employee may ask in writing for the pay to be sent. If it does not arrive within seven days of the request, the employee's wages continue as a penalty from the discharge at the same rate until paid, for no more than sixty days.

This does not apply to an employee paid mainly on commission whose duties include collections or stock and whose net pay depends on an audit.
