The Pay Stub
Mo. Rev. Stat. § 290.080 — corporations pay semimonthly and show deductions at least once a month
In Missouri, corporations doing business in the state, and those operating railroads or railroad shops, pay wages at least semimonthly, within sixteen days of the close of each payroll period.
A statement of deductions. Those employers furnish the employee, with the pay or separately, a statement at least once a month showing the total amount of deductions for the period.
Monthly for some. Executive, administrative and professional employees, and those paid wholly or partly by commission, may be paid monthly at the employer's option.
A misdemeanor. A violation is a misdemeanor, with a fine of not less than fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars for each offense.
Employers that are not corporations, final pay and deductions an employer may take are not on this page. Whether a particular statement complies is a question for the state's labor department or a licensed Missouri attorney.
