Horses, Buggies and Tractors on the Road
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 60-6,111 — a driver's rights and duties, and the shoulder when traffic backs up
A person riding an animal, or driving an animal drawn vehicle, a farm tractor or an implement of husbandry on a roadway, has all the rights and duties of the driver of a vehicle under the Rules of the Road, except those provisions that by their very nature can have no application.
Who handles this in Nebraska: Nebraska State Bar Association, Find a Lawyer; and legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Nebraska directory.
Slow traffic pulls over. When the slowness of the animal, buggy, tractor or implement is obstructing the normal flow of traffic, the rider or driver must move to the nearest available shoulder and let traffic pass.
Another section sets an exception not covered here. A particular ticket is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
