From January 1, 2027, the minimum rises each January by one and three-quarters percent, and the Department of Labor publishes the new rate by October 15 of the year before.

Employees paid partly in tips are paid at least two dollars and thirteen cents an hour plus all their tips, and the section protects the total. A particular job is a question for the Department of Labor.
