Red Lights
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 60-6,123 — stop at the line, a right on red after stopping, and a yellow that means stop if it can be done safely
Stop at the line. Traffic facing a steady red stops at the marked stop line, or before the crosswalk, or before the intersection, and remains standing until an indication to proceed is shown.
Unless a sign prohibits it, a driver may turn right on a steady red after stopping, yielding to pedestrians and other traffic. A left on red is allowed the same way where two one-way streets meet.
On a steady yellow, traffic stops before the nearest crosswalk, but if that stop cannot be made in safety, the vehicle may proceed cautiously through the intersection.
A red arrow allows no turn in its direction until a proceed signal shows. A particular citation is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
