Terroristic Threats
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 28-311.01 — threatening a crime of violence to terrorize, or to empty a building
- With the intent to terrorize another.
- With the intent of causing the evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or public transportation facility.
- In reckless disregard of the risk of causing that terror or evacuation.
A felony. Threatening to commit any crime of violence in one of those ways is terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony.
Recklessness is enough; a threat need not be meant. A particular charge is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
