Twelve in two years. A driver who accumulates twelve or more points within any period of two years has the license summarily revoked and must complete a driver improvement course of at least four hours before reinstatement.
The revocation runs six months from the order, or from release from jail if later. An employment driving permit or a medical hardship permit may be available for a noncommercial vehicle.
Once a revocation of at least six months is served, the points that led to it are disregarded for any later revocation.
Seat belt, parking and muffler violations carry no points. A particular record is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
