Voting After A Felony
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 29-112 — the right to vote returns automatically when the sentence and any parole are done
Automatically. A person sentenced for a felony is not qualified to vote until the sentence is completed, including any parole term, and the disqualification is then removed automatically.
An order releasing a person from probation in a felony case gives notice that voting rights are restored on completing probation.
Serving on a jury or holding public office requires a warrant of discharge from the Board of Pardons.
Other civil rights return through the pardon process. A particular sentence is a question for a licensed Nebraska attorney.
