Where Guns Are Barred
NRS 202.3673 — a permit reaches most public buildings, not airports, schools or posted entrances
A permittee may carry a concealed firearm on the premises of a public building, with exceptions.
- A public building on the property of a public airport
- A public building on the property of a public school, a child care facility or the Nevada System of Higher Education, without written permission
- A public building with a metal detector or a no firearms sign at each public entrance
Carrying in one of those places is a misdemeanor. A permittee who works in the building, or has written permission from the person in control of it, is not barred by the metal detector or sign rule.
