A Minor and a Handgun
N.D.C.C. § 62.1-03-02 — no selling, lending or giving a handgun to a minor, except for supervised training, target shooting or hunting
- A person under 18 may not possess a handgun except under an adult's direct supervision, for firearm safety training, target shooting or hunting.
- Selling, lending or giving a handgun to a minor is a class A misdemeanor, except lending one for supervised training, target shooting or hunting.
- A parent or guardian who lets a child under fifteen carry or use a loaded firearm in public, without direct supervision, commits a class B misdemeanor.
