Notice to End a Tenancy
N.D.C.C. § 47-16-15 — a month to month tenancy ends on at least one calendar month's written notice
- In a month to month tenancy, either side may end it by at least one calendar month's written notice at any time, unless they agreed in writing to longer.
- Rent is due up to and including the termination date.
- If the landlord changes the lease terms, the tenant may end the lease at the end of the month on at least twenty-five days' notice.
- A lease requiring a tenant's notice longer than a month from the end of a month states it with a space for the tenant's initials; without them, a calendar month's notice to the last day of a month is enough.
