Pulling Over and Moving Over
N.D.C.C. § 39-10-26 — pull to the right and stop for an approaching emergency vehicle, and move over for a stopped one
- For an approaching emergency vehicle with flashing blue, white or red lights, a driver yields, pulls parallel to the right edge clear of any intersection, and stops until it passes.
- Passing an emergency vehicle stopped with its lights on the interstate or a multilane highway outside a city, a driver moves to a lane not next to it if safe, or else slows down.
- The same applies to any vehicle stopped along those highways with its hazard lights flashing.
The fee for a violation of the emergency vehicle section is $50.
