Telling Somebody At Work
ORS 659A.199 — no retaliation for a good faith report of a violation of law
Reporting in good faith is protected. An employer may not discharge, demote, suspend or otherwise discriminate or retaliate against an employee because the employee in good faith reported information the employee believes is evidence of a violation of a state or federal law, rule or regulation.
The remedies under the discrimination chapter come on top of any other remedy the employee has.
