Identity Theft

R.I. Gen. Laws § 11-49.1-4 — up to three years for a first identity fraud, and five to ten for a third

Identity fraud includes knowingly making a false identification document, transferring one obtained or produced without lawful authority, holding identification documents not lawfully issued to the holder with intent to use or transfer them unlawfully, or using another's identification or financial information to defraud.
