Signals and Turns
R.I. Gen. Laws § 31-16-6 — a signal for the last one hundred feet before a turn, whenever other traffic may be affected
No one turns, enters a driveway, or moves right or left on a roadway until it can be done with reasonable safety, and not without an appropriate signal when other traffic may be affected.
One hundred feet. A signal to turn right or left is given continuously during at least the last one hundred feet traveled before turning.
A missing turn signal and a signal given too late are each $100 on the schedule of violations.
