The Motorcycle Helmet
R.I. Gen. Laws § 31-10.1-4 — eye protection for every rider, and a helmet under twenty-one and in the first year of a license
Operators of motorcycles, motor scooters and motor driven cycles use approved eye protection on streets and highways, and every one has a rear view mirror.
Who wears a helmet. An operator under the age of twenty-one wears an approved helmet. So does every new operator, at any age, for one year from the first motorcycle license.
No helmet is $100 for an operator and $100 for a passenger on the schedule of violations.
