SDCL § 16-13-41.1 — no firing or suspension for serving, and the same status and seniority after
No one may discharge or suspend an employee for serving as a juror in any court in the state. A violation is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
Pay is the employer's call. The juror keeps the same job status, pay rate and seniority, but the leave may be with or without pay at the employer's discretion.
