RCW 19.118.041 — a serious safety defect two or more times, any defect four or more times, or thirty days out of service

When a manufacturer cannot fix a new vehicle's nonconformity after a reasonable number of attempts, it replaces or repurchases the vehicle, at the consumer's option, within forty calendar days of the consumer's written request. A repurchase refunds the purchase price, collateral charges and incidental costs, less a reasonable offset for use.
