A Lien On The House

W. Va. Code § 38-2-7 — a contractor's lien is lost unless recorded within one hundred days

One hundred days. A mechanic's lien is discharged one hundred days after the work, the subcontract or the last delivery of materials is complete, unless the claimant perfects and preserves it within that time.

A general contractor perfects the lien by recording a sworn notice of it with the county clerk where the property is, within one hundred days after completing the work.
