Jury Duty And Your Job
Wis. Stat. 756.255 — leave for the service, and no firing or discipline for it
Leave without losing time in service. A Wisconsin employer grants an employee leave for the period of jury service without loss of time in service. For seniority and pay advancement, the employee's status is treated as uninterrupted.
No employer may use absence for jury service as a basis for firing or disciplining an employee. An employer who does may be fined up to $200 and required to make full restitution, including reinstatement and back pay.
