Open Container
Wis. Stat. 346.935 — no drinking in a vehicle on a highway, and opened containers kept in the trunk
Anyone in the vehicle. No person, driver or passenger, may drink alcohol beverages or inhale nitrous oxide in a motor vehicle on a highway in Wisconsin, or have an opened container of either on their person in a private vehicle on a public highway.
The trunk, not the glove compartment. The owner, or the driver when the owner is not there, may not keep or allow an opened container in the vehicle on a highway, except in the trunk or, in a vehicle with no trunk, an area not normally occupied by the driver or passengers. A glove compartment or utility compartment counts as occupied.
Passengers in a limousine or motor bus driven by a properly licensed chauffeur are outside the section.
