No Heat or Water
W.S. 1-21-1202 — working electrical, heating and plumbing, with hot and cold running water
Every residential rental unit has operational electrical, heating and plumbing, with hot and cold running water, unless both parties agreed otherwise in writing. A seasonal unit, like a summer cabin not meant to have them, can still be rented.
Who handles this in Wyoming: legal aid programs, lawyer referral and the state offices, listed in the Wyoming directory.
The landlord keeps the unit safe, sanitary and fit to live in, and maintains the electrical system, plumbing, heating and hot and cold water. A renter who is current on payments raises a failure with a written notice by certified mail naming the repair wanted.
