Passing a School Bus
W.S. 31-5-507 — a stop from either direction while the red lights flash
A driver meeting or overtaking a stopped school bus from either direction stops before reaching it while its flashing red lights are on, and does not go on until the bus moves again or the lights go off.
Who handles this in Wyoming: Wyoming State Bar, attorney referrals; and legal aid programs and the state offices, listed in the Wyoming directory.
A recording from a school bus video system is prima facie evidence of what it shows, and when the driver cannot be identified, the registered owner can be fined; that fine is not a moving violation.
