Pedestrians in the Road
W.S. 31-5-602 — yielding to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and no passing a car stopped for one
- Where signals are not in place or not working, a driver yields to a pedestrian within or entering a crosswalk, slowing or stopping if need be.
- The same holds at a school crosswalk.
- A pedestrian does not suddenly leave a curb into the path of a vehicle too close to stop.
- When a vehicle is stopped at a crosswalk to let a pedestrian cross, a driver coming from behind does not pass it.
