WHAT EACH CHARGE CARRIES

43 charges people actually meet, each with the section it comes from, what it requires the state to show, and the most it can carry. Alabama's criminal code sorts felonies into Class A through D and misdemeanors into Class A through C, and a violation sits below them. Many driving and alcohol offenses are misdemeanors their own statute punishes, and those levels state their own fine and term.
