Signals and Turns
21 Del. C. § 4155 — a turn signal for at least the last 300 feet, and none as a courtesy wave
No one turns at an intersection, into a driveway, or right or left on a roadway until it can be done safely without interfering with other traffic, and not without an appropriate signal.
- A signal to turn or move right or left is given continuously for not less than the last 300 feet before turning.
- No one stops or suddenly slows without first signaling to the driver behind, when there is a chance to.
- Signals are used to turn, change lanes or start from a parked position, and are not flashed as a courtesy or a go ahead and pass signal to drivers behind.
