WHAT EACH CHARGE CARRIES

45 charges people actually meet, each with the section it comes from, what it requires the state to show, and the most it can carry. Indiana grades crimes as misdemeanors of Class C, B and A and felonies from Level 6 up to Level 1, and an infraction is a civil violation carrying a money judgment and no jail. Each level here gives its range from the Code's sentencing sections, and an infraction gives the judgment its class allows.
