The Instruction Permit
Iowa Code § 321.180B — graduated licenses for drivers fourteen through seventeen
- A person under eighteen gets a license or permit only under the graduated licensing section, or the restricted work and special minor's licenses.
- Each license or permit needs the signed consent of a parent, guardian or custodian.
- The department may issue an instruction permit to an applicant between fourteen and eighteen who meets the licensing examination requirements other than a driving demonstration.
