A Tracking Device

KRS 508.152 — placing or using a tracker on someone's car without consent

  • Intentionally placing a tracking device in or on a motor vehicle without the knowledge and consent of its owner, or tracking a vehicle that way, is unlawful.
  • So is using a tracker on a protected person's vehicle while restrained by a protective order.
  • Unlawful use of a tracking device is a Class A misdemeanor.
